Level & Flow Measurements

Level Indicator, Controls, Sensors & Switches

Level Sensors provide vital information to process engineers and plant controls as to the level of bulk solids at any given stage of production. This information is then used to either reorder the material, refill the material or to take the next process decision. Depending on the process conditions and characteristics of the bulk solids, we provide suitable level sensors. Commonly used level sensors are paddle type, capacitance type and tuning fork type. Other types of sensors available are diaphragm type, Tilt Switch and etc.

Flow Sensors

In some gravity or pneumatic conveying applications, it is very critical to measure the flow rate of bulk solids. Mass flow sensors are used in such applications. Enge Plas provide solutions for critical bulk solid processes to detect conditions. Enge Plas provide a wide range of solutions for flow measurement sensors in pneumatic conveying & freefalling processes. Our mass flow measurement sensor is designed with the latest microwave technology for the flow of powders & solids that are conveyed in metallic pipes.

Moisture Sensors

Our in-line moisture measurement sensor ensures product quality by measuring the moisture inside the material core. moisture measurements are designed to allow for automation of drying or moisturizing at different points in flow processes to minimize energy cost and maximize your profits. The moisture sensor circuitry principle is centered around an electrical high frequency field that is based on developed and proven technology for several years.

Aeration Pads

The aeration pad is an aeration device used to promote the flow of dry bulk powders from a storage vessel. It operates by continuously introducing air in to the body of the dry powder. When a powder is first conveyed in to a storage vessel it is actually a highly aerated mixture of air and particulate. In this state the mixture flows quite readily. However, as the powder settles the solid particulate and air separate resulting in a decrease in volume and an increase in bulk density. In this deaerated state powders can behave more like a single large solid structure rather than a fluid-like mixture. By replacing the naturally lost air, the air to particulate mixture ratio is held thus maintaining the fluid like characteristic of the aerated powder.

Fluidization Cones

Fluidization cones are pneumatic discharge systems for poor free-flowing powdered bulk materials from silos and hoppers. It is made from FDA-approved rubber and improves the material flow. Fluidization cones are designed to increase the efficiency and rate at which your bulk materials can be discharged.

Knockers Vibrators

Enge Plas offers Electro-pneumatically actuated discharge aid for weighing hoppers, silos etc. Our knockers & vibrators are used for bulk goods with material flow problems as for instant bridge, siphon and residue formations.

Dust Monitor System

Dust monitor provides reliable economical detectors of leaks and filter failure in powder and bulk solids industries. Enge Plas provide solutions for those that need filter out noise and provide the most accurate dust measurement.

Polymer Filtration Systems

Enge Plas offers not only Filtration Systems, but also complete solutions, e.g. Theologically optimized melt filter-pump combinations. One focus of our work is the processing technical optimization of the integration of the individual components as well as of the line concept. We design complete filter systems including in-line-systems for batch processing and duplex continuous systems. For each application, our engineers and customer investigate the optimal filter solution according to the process, installation environment and handling demands.

Pressure & Temperature Sensors

Pressure transducers operate on the proven principle of strain gauge technology. The pressure is transferred from the measuring diaphragm (which is flushed with the melt channel) via a capillary system to a second diaphragm. The capillary system is filled either with mercury or with a mercury-free medium. The second diaphragm is fitted with a strain gauge. Using the linear change in resistance in relation to deflection, an electric output signal is provided. The special membrane technology guarantees a very long operating life, even under the toughest conditions. The anti-adhesion coating reduces the risk of damage caused by frozen plastic melts. Our range of temperature sensors features proven thermocouple or resistance temperature measurement systems in a high precision but robust sensor. The Fe-CuNi (type J or L) thermocouples which generate a voltage when heated are well established in the industry due to their advantages thanks to the high See beck coefficient. For such applications, type K thermocouples are also available (NiCr-Ni). Additionally, our PT100 (2,3 or 4-wire) resistance temperature sensors have resistance of 100 Ohm at 0°Cwhich changes with increasing temperature. Conforms to EUROMAP 31.
